Job Description

Ledgent Finance & Accounting is currently seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Coordinator for a well-respected company located in Georgia. This is an on-site contract-to-hire role, pivotal in supporting the company's accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial recordkeeping and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Perform account, invoice, and billing reconciliations, researching and resolving discrepancies as needed.
  • Support day-to-day accounting operations, including billing administration, account maintenance, and financial recordkeeping.
  • Maintain and update spreadsheets, reports, and databases using Microsoft Excel and Yardi software.
  • Review contracts, leases, and related documents to ensure billing accuracy and compliance with established terms.
  • Respond to tenant, customer, and vendor inquiries regarding billing, account activity, and account-related questions.
  • Process and maintain accurate financial and operational records while ensuring data integrity across systems.
  • Assist with the preparation of reports, account summaries, and other documentation to support business operations.
  • Utilize Microsoft Word and Outlook mail merges to support communications, reporting, and administrative processes.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to support accounting functions and resolve billing or account-related issues.
  • Handle sensitive financial information with a high degree of accuracy, professionalism, and confidentiality.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of accounting support, billing, bookkeeping, or related experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • General accounting knowledge with experience performing reconciliations and resolving discrepancies.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills required, with the ability to maintain, update, and work within spreadsheets on a daily basis.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including mail merges in Word and Outlook; Yardi experience preferred.
  • Property management industry experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret contracts and leases.
